Active Parents/Active Kids

Active Parents/Active Kids

Parents, join the fun! For boys and girls 3-5 years of age, this introductory program allows mom, dad or an older sibling (over 14 years) to learn the game together.

This program, the first of its kind in Ottawa, was developed to introduce young players to physical activity and encourage parents to join in the fun. All sessions are 45-50 minutes and involve a mix of basic skill-building exercises (25-30 minutes) and small-sided games (20 minutes).

2026 SEASON

For the 2026 season, U/3 are children born in 2023; U/4 are children born in 2022; and U/5 are children born in 2021.

Weather policy

Soccer is an all-weather game – rain or shine. However, sessions may be stopped or cancelled due to heavy rain, thunder or lightning. That decision will be made by the academy director or coaching staff just prior to or during the session. Only in rare circumstances will a notice be sent to parents well before the session. Playing conditions will be assessed at the field. Please do not call about possible weather cancellations. To make up for a lost session, time may be added to the remaining sessions but unfortunately we will not be able to add a make-up session.
